Coming from halfway across the world from the historic city of Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, comes the expertise of master tailoring of Milivoj Poletan.   With over 20 years of experience, master tailor Poletan inherited his passion from his grandfather, a legend in their city of intriguing custom tailoring.  From the age of 15 Mr. Poletan chose and began to study the art of tailoring.  His dedication and passion landed him a job in one of the most prosperous and respected private garment industries of, Borac Konfekcija Travnik.  Within a short few years Mr. Poletan was soon a manager for Borac, leader of the suite line production where he worked for well known retailers such as Hugo Boss and Hedex.  Soon after acquiring his degree in Fashion and Design Mr. Poletan was promoted by the garment industry of Borac to master tailor to work for Robex Fashion in Switzerland.  He worked for Robex Fashion for over 2 years traveling back and forth between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina managing as master tailor between the two countries. 

 Being recognized for his intriguing skills of tailoring as soon as Mr. Poletan decided to move to the USA in 2002, he got a job with the Utah Opera.  The Utah Opera is known for their precise, complicated, detailed, and challenging state of the art costumes.  Starting out as a 1st hand tailor Mr. Poletan moved up to now head tailor for the Utah Opera where he in charge of preparing and designing all the patterns and samples pieces as well as compiling it all together to produce all the male custom costumes you see today when you go the Capital Theatre to watch the Opera.

 Mr. Poletan’s intricate quality work in design and tailoring began to be highly recognized.  Due to his well known and well sought of work Mr. Poletan decided to open up his own custom shop in 2008, Poletan Costume Studio.  Designing anywhere from custom made ladies hand bags all the way to delicate men’s suites, Mr. Poletan can tailor and design anything from scratch.  There is a philosophy that comes with years of tailoring and as a master tailor Mr. Poletan knows how to translate anyone’s ideas into a piece of art, that always stands out to represent what they truly wanted and desired.
